    Michelle and Dave's Vibiana Wedding

Attached are a few wedding pictures of Michelle & Dave's gorgeous wedding at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles. Dave and Michelle was the most easy going couple I've had to date and it was such a pleasure working with them and their lovely (large) family! Michelle was sweet enough to answer questions for currently engaged couples, and I love the answer to her last question--it really sums up the wedding day. Enjoy!

What was the best part of your wedding day?

The best part was having all of our friends and family together in one room.

What do you feel was totally unnecessary?

    Nothing

What would you change, if anything?

I would have let everyone know to meet us on the dance floor to say hello instead of trying to go to each table.

What was unexpected that you loved?

How creative people were with our photo-booth guest book.

What are your fondest memories of your wedding day?

We took 5 minutes to sneak away and watch the reception in full swing. It was great to watch everyone having a blast.

Is there anything you wish you had spent more time or money on?

I wish I would have spent a little more time dancing.

Is there anything you wish you had spent less time or money on?

The lounge area. It looked awesome but no one used it. Everyone was too busy dancing.

Were there any unexpected surprises or issues?

    No, everything went smoothly.

What's your number #1 tip for future engaged couples?

In the end, it will be worth all the stress.

How did you feel after the wedding?

In a daze. It was both the longest and the shortest day of our lives.

    Marvimon House Wedding

I have a wedding this January at the chic urban venue Marvimon in downtown Los Angeles and thanks to the friends that I have on Coordinator's Corner, I was able to come shadow the fun Jeannie Ward of Wedding Jeannie at one of her weddings yesterday so I could learn some of the ropes at this tricky space. Outside the venue the four fires surrounding Los Angeles were blazing and raining ash down on the city, but inside the walls was a cool, calm, tranquil, zen feeling and the weddding went off beautifully. We did have a few snags due to the fires: the minister could not make it through the traffic in time and the owner of the catering company had to evacuate her home and also could not make it. Thankfully the DJ was ordained** and performed the ceremony, and the caterer had a fantastic staff to run the show without her. Before our bride Cynthia even knew of the potential disasters at hand, the top notch vendors had a "Plan B" already rolling in order make the wedding happen.

It was great to be able to work this space before Heather and Matt's wedding in January--I feel like I know what to expect, look for, and do in order to make the day a smooth one. Congratulations, Cynthia and Pancho, and thank you Wedding Jeannie for allowing me to be a part of your day!

    **NOTE TO SELF: get ordained!

Wedding planning is so much fun!

This week in the glamorous world of wedding planning we are featuring exciting things such as filing, organizing, researching Quickbooks, and other fun things. Ugh. I can't stand filing. I leave on Sunday for the Association of Bridal Consultant's annual conference, and my goal was to get my office up to par so when I come back full of fabulous ideas I'll have a clean slate to start with. Below was my to do list for this week (not including the work on my current weddings I had to do). It's Friday. I don't think this is going to happen. Boo.

    A Lovely Fall Weekend

Ah, what a lovely weekend. The Husband and I have been working our behinds off lately and this past weekend was the perfect way to celebrate some big accomplishments and transition into the new chapter of our lives that we're starting. Napa Valley has ALWAYS been on our list of places to go and the timing worked out perfectly that our friends Lori & Guillermo rented a house in Napa. The icing on the cake was the fact that we got to make a new friend in the process as Lori's friend Joshua Smith of Cinematic Bride, the uber talented international wedding videographer, joined us for the weekend. Josh and I attempted to put our iPhones down for the weekend and *almost* succeeded, but work never really stops when you own your own business--even when you have an auto reply on your email!

The weekend was rainy, foggy, and full of fall colors--everything I hoped for. Sunny Southern California can get old sometimes to those of use who love changing seasons. The little Victorian house we rented was wonderful, the hot tub was great (even in the rain), the gourmet meals that The Husband cooked were divine, the wineries we visited were lovely, and the wine we tasted was fabulous. I heart Napa. I can't wait to do weddings there (although from what I learned about the Politics of Napa Valley, weddings are a tricky business up there!). Enjoy the pictures!

(Note: I made Josh pose for this picture, he's the nicest guy ever and would never snobbily hold his finger up to you no matter how important the call!)
